Jethi honey is sweet in taste. It is a treasure trove of properties like calcium, glyceric, acid, antioxidant, protein and fat. It has been used for many years for eye diseases, oral diseases, throat diseases, stomach diseases, shortness of breath, heart diseases. It cures the disease by calming the three guilt of cough, flatulence and bile.
Acharya Balakrishna of Patanjali Ayurveda Haridwar says that eye diseases are cured by washing with Jethimadha decoction. Mix equal amount of anise powder in its powder and eat it every morning and evening to get rid of eye irritation. The redness of the eye is removed by soaking a bunch of cotton wool in water and tying it on the eye. Not only this, Jethi honey is also beneficial in ear and nose diseases.
When there is peeling in the mouth, it is relieved by putting honey in jethi honey and sucking it. Sucking jethi honey is beneficial in cough and sore throat. To produce cough in dry cough, lick 1 teaspoon of it with honey only three times a day. Drinking 20-25 ml of this decoction morning and evening clears the trachea. Sucking jethi honey also kills adki.
Acharya Balakrishna says that mulathi is also beneficial in heart disease. By making decoction of jethi honey and drinking 10-15 ml, colic disappears.
Jethi honey, which is also considered beneficial in skin diseases, is applied on the blisters and it erupts quickly. Grind jethi honey and sesame seeds and mix dhrit (ayurvedic ghee) in it and apply it on the wound to heal the wound.
