The National Food Security Act, 2013 inter-alia provides for payment of food security allowance to individuals by the State Government in the event of non-supply of proper quantity of foodgrains as per the time and manner prescribed by the Central Government.
Mid Day Meal is the largest school feeding program in the world, reaching about 12 crore children in more than 12.65 lakh schools / EGS centers across the country. The Mid Day Meal Scheme is serving primary and upper primary school children across the country.
