Gujarat did not even get a place in the top 20 states of the country in the highest number of Tests per 10 lakh population. Among the major states, Delhi has the highest number of 3.20 lakh tests per 10 lakh population while Gujarat ranks 22nd with 1.20 lakh tests. Gujarat ranks seventh in the country with 80.33 lakh tests in the total number of corona tests. Uttar Pradesh has done the most 2 crore tests. Apart from this, Bihar-Tamil Nadu-Maharashtra-Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh are the states where the total number of corona tests has crossed 1 crore.
Gujarat lags behind other states in Tests
According to the Gujarat Health Department, the number of tests is increasing every day in the state. Considering the population of the state, there are 1072.85 tests per million per day. However, Gujarat lags behind other states not only in the highest number of tests per 10 lakh population but also in Andaman and Nicobar, with Delhi having the highest number of tests per 10 lakh population. In Delhi and Andaman Nicobar, an average of 3.30 lakh people per 10 lakh have been tested. Ladakh is second with 3.20 lakh, Puducherry is third with 2.70 lakh, Arunachal Pradesh is fourth with 2.40 lakh and Jammu and Kashmir is fifth with 2.30 lakh.

6.44 lakh tests of Corona were done in 10 days in Gujarat
In the last 10 days, 6.44 lakh tests of Corona have been done in Gujarat. Thus, at present in Gujarat, on an average, only 64 thousand tests are being done every day. In comparison, Uttar Pradesh has averaged 1.50 lakh tests in the last 10 days. Ahmedabad has the highest number of 2.90 lakh tests per 10 lakh population from Gujarat. The total number of corona tests in Ahmedabad has now crossed 20 lakh. With a population of 10 lakh, Surat is second with 2.50 lakh, Rajkot is third with 1.70 lakh, Gandhinagar is fourth with 1.40 lakh and Vadodara is fifth with 1.30 lakh. With a population of 10 lakh, the lowest number of 48100 tests were conducted in Panchmahal, 53400 in Junagadh and 58100 in Sabarkantha.
